We are scheduled to use the school computer lab every Wednesday from 11:40-12:20pm. The computer lab is filled with Apple Computers and is equipped with various types of software for each student. We will have the opportunity to incorporate our curriculum into technology projects and activities. Basic computer skills will be taught including opening, saving, and closing programs. Other software programs we will use include: * Kid Pix 3: a drawing software that has many illustration tools * Kidspiration: a software program that is great for pre-writing techniques such as brainstorming and outlining ideas * EasyBook: a program that allows students to type and illustrate their own books and be able to print it and take it home * Graph Club: a graphing software for students to learn about various ways to display data such as bar graphs, line graphs, and pie charts * Internet: we explore various websites that are wonderful for learning about curriculum content and have activities for students to reinforce their learning |
