Each week starting in September, a student is selected to be the Star of the Week. The student will bring home an All About Me Poster on a Friday, and the poster needs to be completed with special drawings and pictures by the following Wednesday. Please practice reading and sharing the contents of the poster at home before turning it in because they will be presenting their poster to the class. Your child will have special responsibilities that week and will be able to take home Beebear, our class stuffed animal, for the weekend. The student will write in Beebear's journal to tell the class what he or she did with Beebear that weekend. Beebear is due on Monday after the weekend. This is one of my favorite activities because I love to look back at the Beebear Journals from years ago. All my past students have spent a weekend with Beebear and have written about it! P.S. Beebear is machine washable! |
