On the first day of school, we discuss what we want our class to be like. Students learn the rules in the classroom, as well as the rules of Eaton school. Here are the rules of the classroom. Please remind your children to follow these 3 simple rules: Carpet Rules 1. I will stay in my own square. 2. I will keep my hands and feet to myself. 3. I will sit quietly on the carpet. Working Rules 1. I will say in my seat. 2. I will whisper. 3. I will raise my hand if I have a question. Lining Up Rules 1. Face Forward 2. Hands Behind. 3. Quiet Feet and Mouths in Line. In addition to our classroom rules, students at Eaton School participate in the PeaceBuilders program. We read the PeaceBuilders pledge each morning, and during the year, we will learn about ways to be peacebuilders all the time. The peacebuilders pledge is: I am a peacebuilder. I pledge to... Praise people. To give up put downs. To seek wise people. To notice and speak up about hurts I have caused. To right wrongs. To help others. I will build peace at home, at school, and in my community each day. |
