Kindergarteners do not have a separate Friday folder like the rest of Eaton school. Instead, they will be using their Daily Folders to take home papers from school. Please remember to look through your child's daily folder every evening and take out everything inside. Sometimes, the Daily Folder will be empty, other times it will just have your child's work from the day. Please be aware that much of our classwork is project oriented, and therefore you will not see an excessive amount of worksheets going home every week. Occasionally, it will contain important school information such as permission slips, weekly newsletters, and work that needs to be returned.
When the students come to school, they take out their Daily Folders and put them in their cubbies. If you have anything to return to me, you can put it inside the Daily Folder and remind your child to give it to Mrs. Yu. I have a special box for them to turn in papers from parents. Another option is to paperclip important information to the front of the Daily Folder so your child will remember to turn the papers into me. I try to double check everyone's folder sometime during the day for notes from home, but I would like the students to eventually be able to look through their folders and turn in forms independently.
