In order to cover all of the expenses for field trips and in-school programs which support and enrich our curriculum, Eaton Elementary School asks for a class room donation of $150 for this school year, payable by check to Eaton Elementary School. This donation is very important to enhancing our curriculum because it makes possible the many enrichment programs we provide for your child, such as: - Monthly Schoolwide Assemblies Mara the Storyteller, Zun-Zun, Kaiser "Healthy Living", Wildlife Associates "Rainforest Animals", Jo De Te Te Dance, Earth Dome, Silicon Valley Brass "Jazz", Fratello Marionettes "Frog Prince", Banana Slug Band, Axis Dance, West Bay Opera "Magic Flute", and Circ Do Something. - Planned Field Trips & Bus Transportation fees Pumpkin Patch, San Jose Children's Discovery Museum, Children's Theater Performance, Fire Station visit, and end of the year picnic at Wilson Park. These fees include admission as well as bus transportation. - Special Kindergarten Project Supplies Hands-on activities in the areas of multi-cultural studies, literature, art, science, cooking, math, and language arts. We also use the donation money to help fund special seasonal projects for the holidays and end of the year. - On-site Presenters Happy Hollow comes to Eaton and the Kindergarteners get to meet and greet some of their animals. We also have special assemblies for just the Kindergarteners such as the "Living History" program that teaches about Johnny Appleseed, the Statue of Liberty, etc. Please know that without this donation, many of our enrichment programs will not be possible. You may pay the entire amount at once, or if donating the whole amount now is not easily done, we have two other options for making donations: 1) $150 as soon as possible 2) One donation of $75 can be made by October 1st and the second donation of $75 can be made by January 30th. 3) Ten donations of $15 made once a month for 10 months beginning now in August and the last one in May.
