Please make sure you are sending healthy snacks and lunches to school. Label all of your child's belongings and make sure you do not send glass containers. Also, please practice having your child open and clean up their own containers and snacks/lunches. Children are expected to arrive on school on time everyday. Once the door closes, your child will be considered late and you will need to go to the office to get a late slip for your child. Multiple delays will result in a letter from the Cupertino Union School District and will be recorded on your child's progress report. If your child is absent from school for an illness, please make sure you leave a message with the school office on the morning of the absence. The school office number is (408) 255-2848 x 6. This is a 24 hour phone line. You do not need to leave a message directly with me at my extension. It is Cupertino Union School District policy that all children must stay home from school if they have a fever, have vomited, or have diarrhea. They must stay home for an additional 24 hours after symptoms have subsided. In addition, please keep your child at home if he or she simply isn't feeling well. Children need to stay home to get well and illnesses are spread when parents send sick children to school. If your child is gone from school for more than 10 days, he or she will be dropped from the Eaton School roster. Upon your return, your child will only be given a spot at Eaton if there is still space available. That spot may or may not be in the same classroom. If there are no spots available at Eaton School, your child will have to attend another CUSD school. |
